Antioch Community Church just celebrated 2011 as a family over a good meal and this video (thanks for shooting this, Dan!).
Enjoy!
As you can see, we are increasingly experiencing the fullness of the family of God at our small expression in Minneapolis.
We certainly haven’t drifted towards such a sense of family. This family was forged. Forged through a painful adoption by Jesus humbling himself and obeying his Father (even to the point of death!) and not being ashamed to call us brothers (Hebrews 2:11).
Knowing the cost of this adoption, we have been intentional to use familial language at our gatherings. If you came to Antioch on a Sunday, you’d hear numerous references to “our family”. This small effort has had enormous influence in the way we all consider ‘church’. This video proves it. Just listen for all of the references to family.
How has your church cultivated familial community?
